So back on July 23, I was logging into my Bittrex account to buy some alts and as I was going to make a deposit into my Bittrex account I got a message stating that they were shutting down Bitcoin deposits temporarily due to the upcomming August 1 fork.

Since then I've gotten a couple phone calls from friends who all for whatever reason wanted to buy Ripple but didn't know how to get money into Bittrex.

I just logged in this morning July 26, 2017 and it looks like they are again accepting Bitcoin deposits but requiring 6 confirmamtions. Not sure if they will shut it down again or not leading up to August 1, but I wanted to share with you guys how you can still get your money into Bittrex.

So what you can do is send either Litecoin or Ethereum over there, then swap the Litecoin or Ethereum for Bitcoin and then use that Bitcoin to buy your alts.

I initially was going to send Ethereum, however after seeing a message that said please only send 0.01 Ethereum at first to test and make sure it goes through without sending larger amounts this had me concerned. By the way, not sure why that is or why there would be a problem receiving Ethereum.

Anyhow, because of that I decided to send over Litecoin. I sent over some Litecoin from my Coinbase account, I then swapped that Litecoin for Bitcoin and then bought my alt coins. If any of you are curious what I bought a little Civic, Ardor, Maid, Waves, Vertcoin and Komodo. Not a lot but just throwing a little money around at each.
